China : ZTE supports CHINA TELECOM roll out eMBMS platform [TendersInfo (India)]

(TendersInfo (India) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) China Telecom has conducted ZTE to roll out the country s first evolved multiple broadcast multiple service (eMBMS) system running on a hybrid LTE network.

China Telecom s eMBMS service has introduced in the eastern Chinese city of Wuxi and is powered by ZTE s IP RAN (radio access network) technology, allowing smooth mobile video services and high-quality voice calls to be provided simultaneously. The IP RAN multicast service achieved millisecond-level reliability standards.

ZTE s IP RAN products consisting of the ZXCTN 9000-E and ZXCTN 6000, based on architecture, fully backs large-capacity, all-service and multi-scenario deployments. The ZXCTN 9000-E series delivers high-performance routing capabilities, rich L2/L3 VPN and MPLS (multiprotocol label switching) when installed as the base of the IP RAN core aggregation layer.

The compact ZXCTN 6000 series can be installed at the IP RAN access layer, providing highly integrated multiple ports, including 10G/microwave ports.

ZTE s IP RAN products backs many multicast technologies, e.g. VLAN/VPLS (virtual local area network/virtual private LAN service), IGMP (internet group management protocol) snooping multicast, PIM-SM/DM (protocol independent multicast sparse mode/dense mode), PIM-SSM (source-specific multicast), SSM-mapping, PIM-BFD (bidirectional forwarding detection), cross-domain multicast, GRE (generic routing encapsulation) multicast, P2MP LSP (point to multi-point line signal processing) and multicast filtration.
