Mobile phone operator upgrading system to improve performance


(Daily Patriot (Pakistan) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) China Mobile Pakistan has decided to upgrade its infrastructure to support its growing network and customers base.

In this regard, the company has partnered with Teradata to replace its existing data warehouse systems with Teradata technology after an exhaustive evaluation process which included all reputable data warehousing vendors.

It has purchased a Teradata Extreme Data Platform to ensure storage, deepdive analytics capacity and for highperformance analytics. Teradata will also provide planning, implementation, deployment and consulting, along with managed services.



In his comments on the new initiative, Chief Executive Officer of CMPak, Dr. Fan Yunjun said the new investment would allow IT to become more agile with respect to how we consume data and how we use it for our decision making.

It will also allow stakeholders to make prompt decisions and have a comprehensive ability to forecast future trends, he said and added these capabilities will provide CMPak a strategic edge that will help business in achieving objectives.


Commenting on the new partnership, Managing Director, Teradata Pakistan, Afghanistan and Bangladesh said this will help Communication Service Providers to manage digitalservices churn to create new business value, deliver new products and services, monetize data, and offer a superior experience for all customers in the future.
