Hortonworks announces its Hortonworks Data Platform is now Microsoft Azure Certified

This new capability is 100 percent interoperable with Microsoft Azure HDInsight, Microsoft Analytics Platform System and HDP for deploying Hadoop in the cloud.

This new certification extends the deployment options for Microsoft customers by providing them with complete interoperability between workloads on-premises and in the cloud. Hortonworks uniquely offers Hortonworks Data Platform for Windows, a 100 percent native Windows Server distribution of Hadoop that is also fully compatible with Azure HDInsight.
