United States : CISCO prepares to launch software-focused partner program; also gears up to roll out CISCO ONE SOFTWARE [TendersInfo (India)](TendersInfo (India) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) As the networking giant seeks to fast-track its push into the cloud and software-defined data center era, San Jose, Calif.-based Cisco Systems is preparing to launch a software-focused partner program it intends to debut at its 2015 Cisco Partner Summit in Montreal. The company is also gearing up to roll out Cisco ONE Software, a new sales model that aims to streamline and simplify how customers purchase software from Cisco. A senior official of Cisco's Worldwide Partner Organization, said the company is already running a pilot version of a software partner program that it would announce at its annual global partner conference this April in Montreal. The official said the program is not only designed to provide partner training and incentives around Application-Centric Infrastructure (ACI), Cisco's software-defined networking platform, but also for the software offerings it bought this year by acquiring companies like JouleX and Composite Software.
