Billhighway Enhances Technology Team with New Hires

(PR Web Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Troy, MI (PRWEB) October 20, 2014 Billhighway, provider of cloud-based automation solutions for nonprofits, announces two new hires to its continually growing team. Jay Janarthanan and Nick Hartman are supporting the technology team in the roles of Senior Developer and Network Associate, respectively.

Jay Janarthanan brings 18 years of software development experience to Billhighway, along with ten years' experience in recruiting, managing and leading the development efforts for a global software company. Having spent years as a consultant, Janarthanan decided to close up shop on his consulting business after being won over by Billhighway's team culture, driving him to accept the Senior Developer position. In his role, he will design and develop highly-scalable web applications that run 24/7, using the latest tools coupled with Agile methodologies. Prior to joining Billhighway, Janarthanan architected and led the development of BoostUp.com, an incentive-driven web application that helps people save money. In his spare time he is an active blogger, speaker on behalf of his website, JayOnSoftware.com, creator of workshop materials focused on Visual Studio and Reshaper, and is writing a book about developer productivity.

"Having consulted at over 20 companies in the last 15 years, I never thought I'd take a full-time corporate position again," said Janarthanan. "But after spending three months consulting here, Billhighway changed my mind. There is no other company like it out there for developers." Nick Hartman brings computer networking knowledge, strong communication skills and an unwavering desire to learn to the role of Network Associate. Hartman will assist in triaging and effectively diagnosing incoming support issues, while regularly publishing IT team statistics and metrics.

He will also maintain and update system documentation, being proactive in identifying inefficiencies in daily processes and procedures. Prior to joining Billhighway, Hartman worked for Security Inspection Inc., testing and installing software configuration updates and maintaining automated testing systems. He is currently studying Information Technology at Macomb Community College and actively pursuing a Cisco Networking Professional (CCNA) certification.
