Proteas coaching staff member interrogated over software programme by Indian police [Asian News International]

(Asian News International Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Johannesburg, Oct 17 (ANI): A Proteas coaching staff member is being interrogated by Indian police in connection with the latest software programme used by the team to prepare for games.

News 24 reports Prasanna Agoram, the team's performance analyst, was questioned by police in Bangalore on Monday regarding theft of intellectual property.

Though Agoram has been released after being issued a warning, he is unable to join the Proteas in New Zealand as the Indian police are yet to hand him back his passport.

Agoram, 38, has been working with the Proteas since 2010.

He says that the charge related to his Mr. Cricket software programme is completely baseless.

Altaaf Kazi, Cricket South Africa's media manager, said they are aware of the allegations against Agoram, but are still waiting for clarity on the matter and cannot make a decision regarding his future with the Proteas, the report added.
