China Mobile, KPN and iBasis Successfully Complete First International VoLTE Roaming Calls based on IMS Architecture(ENP Newswire Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) ENP Newswire - 15 October 2014 Release date- 14102014 - China Mobile, KPN and iBasis today announced the first successful implementation of international VoLTE roaming between mobile operators based on IMS local breakout architecture with home routing solution. Enabled by KPN subsidiary iBasis, the mobile operators are preparing for a smooth commercial rollout of VoLTE roaming to their subscribers in China and the Netherlands respectively. Globalization and increasing demand for the high-quality of service of LTE are driving mobile operators to implement VoLTE and VoLTE Roaming as the next logical step after deploying LTE in their national networks and LTE data roaming internationally. China Mobile will commercially launch VoLTE service in China at the end of 2014.
