Etisalat Group Names Serkan Okandan as Deputy CEO of Mobily [PalFX (Palestine)](PalFX (Palestine) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Abu Dhabi, UAE: Etisalat Group has named Serkan Okandan as the Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Etihad Etisalat "Mobily", the leading telecom operator in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Mr. Okandan will continue his duties as Chief Financial Officer for the Etisalat Group. Mr. Ahmad Abdulkarim Julfar, Etisalat Group's Chief Executive Officer (GCEO), commented: "Serkan has played a key role in the success Etisalat Group has achieved in recent years, and we are pleased to be able to use his expertise in Mobily's transformation plan from being a mobile operator to a key driver of the ICT ecosystem in the Kingdom." Engineer Khalid Bin Omar Al Kaf, Managing Director and CEO of Mobily, welcomed the move and said that this step is well timed to coincide with Mobily's growth phase. Mr. Okandan joined Etisalat in January 2012 as the Group CFO, and he represents Etisalat Group in the boards of PTCL in Pakistan, Maroc Telecom in Morocco and Etisalat Nigeria. Prior to joining Etisalat Group, Serkan held the position of Group CFO for Turkcell where he led the finance function of a publicly quoted company that has operations in Turkey, Eastern Europe and Central Asia.
