Experts to Provide Key Insights on Protecting Data from Cyber Crime(Targeted News Service Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) BRAMPTON, Ontario, Oct. 7 -- Sheridan College issued the following news release: From identity theft and compromised personal financial information, to the hacking of sensitive government records or the cloud-hacking of private cell phone photos, cyber crime is a growing and persistent concern. In response, Sheridan is presenting a Cyber Security Symposium on Wednesday, October 22, at its Hazel McCallion Campus, located at 4180 Duke of York Blvd. in Mississauga. This half-day symposium is targeted at executives and senior managers in Supply Chain, Retail and Government Services who have an interest in learning more about why and how to protect valuable data in their back-end systems in an era in which we are continuously creating, collecting and sharing more information. Speakers include: David Peterson, CTO, Microsoft Services Canada; Brian Martin, VP, Kuehne + Nagel Canada; Danny Timmins, CEO, NCI Secured Intelligence; Rob Stonehouse, Chief Security Architect, Scalar Decisions; Wally Trenholm, CEO, Sightline Innovation; Stuart Macleod, National Cyber Security Architect, Microsoft Services Canada, and Dr. Victor Ralevic, Professor and Founder, Bachelor of Applied Information Sciences/Information Systems Security degree at Sheridan.
