Birdstep Appoints Acting Chief Financial Officer(Oslo Bors Newsfeed Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Oslo October 2, 2014. Birdstep Technology is pleased to announce the appointment of Hassan Tabrizi as its acting Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Mr. Tabrizi will be acting CFO, effective October 20th, reporting to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) during the period that the company's current CFO is on maternity leave. Mr. Tabrizi has 20 years of international experience from various financial positions in companies like Cathay Pacific Airways Ltd, Tele Office AB, Connecta AB, Axfood AB, SmartTrust Group and Giesecke & Devrient Group. As CFO for SmartTrust, a privately owned company group with the Carlyle Group as controlling shareholder, Mr. Tabrizi supported the business to develop effective strategies for growth while remaining cost competitive. With 430 million SEK in revenue and 200 employees worldwide, the company built a strong position in the market as leading global supplier of systems for managing SIM cards and mobile phones Over-the-Air. In June 2009, the parent company was acquired by Giesecke & Devrient GmbH in Munich where Mr. Tabrizi entered the position as Head of Enterprise Development.
