Got an idea? Share it with TED [Nagpur] [Times of India]

(Times of India Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) NAGPUR: All the big changes in the world have started with a small idea. City chapter of international non-profit organization TED is inviting people to share 'ideas worth spreading'. The next TED talk in the city is to be held on October 12 in the auditorium of Persistent Systems. Ideas from a wide array of fields like information technology, nation building, social media, citizenship, arts and crafts, journalism, business, entrepreneurship, social work, activism, human rights, women's rights, environment, sciences, medicine, defence and entertainment would be considered. Ideas from other interesting fields are also welcome. "Any idea that is intellectual, interesting or relevant to the current scenario and which deserves to be discussed at a large platform is what we look for. The idea would not only be heard by the audience present but people across the world through the TED'S website, social networking pages and mobile apps," said Harshil Gupta, curator of city chapter of TED. TED has gained global popularity as a source of many inspirational and world-changing ideas. The TEDx programme is designed to help communities, organizations and individuals to spark conversation and connection through local TED-like experiences. At TEDx events, a screening of TED Talks videos - or a combination of live presenters and TED Talks videos - sparks deep conversation and connections at the local level. The idea can be shared with the local TED team through a 3-minute audio or video file or written within 200 words. All this can be mailed at [email protected]. For more information, contact Harshil at 9823268520.
