Panasonic Announces Interoperability Certification With Digium's Asterisk Software

Panasonic (News - Alert), a leading provider of business telephone systems1,announced today that its latest UTG Series of SIP-based telephones, the KX-UTG200B and KX-UTG300B, have successfully completed interoperability testing with Digium's Asterisk (News - Alert) open source communications software and are recognized as Digium Asterisk Certified products. Telephony providers using Asterisk software can now efficiently and securely provision Panasonic's KX-UTG200B & KX-UTG300B phones for mass deployment with plug and play simplicity and flexible configuration options to customers of all sizes in a variety of markets.
