As reported by CommsUpdate in July, Brazil's antitrust regulator the Administrative Council for Economic Defense (or Cade) approved without restrictions AT&T's USD48.5 billion takeover of DirecTV Latin America, serving 18.1 million subscribers across the region and owning 93% of pay-TV provider Sky Brasil, which also holds 4G wireless spectrum.
