Artifex Software Announces New Partnerships and OEM License Agreements


SAN RAFAEL, Calif. --(Business Wire)--

Artifex Software Inc., today announced a number of new business partnerships and OEM license agreements with industry leaders including Adobe, Caterpillar, DropBox, Ricoh (News - Alert), and Symantec.

The partnerships and OEM license agreements involve Artifex's core technologies: MuPDF and SmartOffice.

Artifex will feature its technologies at the Graph Expo tradeshow, booth number #446 at McCormick Place, Chicago, IL from Sept. 28 - Oct. 1, 2014.

New MuPDF Partnerships and OEM License Agreements

Adobe (News - Alert), Caterpillar, DropBox, and Ricoh have entered OEM license agreements with Artifex for its MuPDF technology.

MuPDF is a lightweight PDF and XPS viewer that produces the highest fidelity reproduction of a printed page on a screen by rendering text with metrics and spacing accurate to within fractions of a pixel. It is an open-source software application.

New SmartOffice Partnerships and OEM License Agreements

Ricoh, SyncDog, Symantec (News - Alert), and Wireless Independent Provider (WIP) have entered OEM license agreements with Artifex for its SmartOffice applications.


Artifex's SmartOffice apps allow mobile device users to view, edit, create, print, and share Microsoft (News - Alert) Office and other documents from anywhere. SmartOffice includes simple tools to create new documents from templates, make edits, share via email in original or PDF format, print new versions, or sync to the cloud.

SmartOffice has more than 300 million users. The app is available via Apple's (News - Alert) iTunes store and the Android App Store.
