Audioboom Launches iOS App; Relaunches And Rebrands Content Platform

(Alliance News Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) LONDON (Alliance News) - Audioboom Group PLC said Tuesday that it has launched its free iOS AudioBoom app and has relaunched its audio content sharing platform, AudioBoo, under the new brand of AudioBoom.

The audio sharing social media platform allows content producers to create and broadcast audio content and syndicate it across the global social media platforms.

The new Apple-based application - which works on the iPhone, iPad and iPod touch - features a redesigned user interface; swipe-based navigation which remembers what a listener likes based on how fast they swipe; a custom-built recommendations engine to learn what the listener loves; 'The Daily Download,' which automatically stores two hours of favourite audio for offline listening on the commute; on-the-spot sharing buttons to other platforms like Twitter and Facebook; and an updated record, trim and upload function to let you quickly create your own clips to share with the world.

The company said it expects to launch an Android version of the application in the next few weeks.

Audioboom has relaunched its audio sharing platform under the new brand AudioBoom, previously known as AudioBoo. The company said the tool now has more than three million registered users and has seen a huge increase in traffic over the past few months, recording 260 million page impressions in August, an increase of more than 280% on the previous month.

"The launch of the new app marks the next stage in AudioBoom's ever increasing growth. We are all really looking forward to giving users access to the best content in the world. We are, quite literally, reinventing audio for the digital age giving our users the chance to find, listen and curate the audio they want, when they want it," said Chief Executive Rob Proctor.

Shares in the company were Tuesday morning trading 1.66% higher at 16.39 pence per share.
