India : INFOSYS, Huawei team up on cloud-based services [TendersInfo (India)](TendersInfo (India) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Infosys, India's 2nd biggest IT services provider has signed into a partnership agreement with the Chinese firm, Huawei Technologies Co Ltd, for offering cloud computing services to the enterprise customers. As per to Chief Executive Vishal Sikka who controls Infosys said that the company intends to promote investment in emerging technologies such as cloud computing and smartphone apps to get its hands on bigger high-margin outsourcing agreements. These deals, in turn will assist Infosys to regain its position as being India's 100 billion dollar IT outsourcing industry. In a statement, the companies opinion that the partnership will facilitate them to in a group develop IT solutions using Huawei's cloud infrastructure and Infosys' service proficiency. Further, Infosys said that it had extended the on-going cloud computing partnerships with Hitachi Ltd and also Microsoft Corporation. The extended contract of Infosys with Hitachi Data Systems will help the companies in shift from their IT infrastructure to cloud-based services. Alternatively, through the expanded partnership with Microsoft Corporation, Infosys will assist the enterprises to apply and also migrate to the Microsoft's cloud platform in a seamless manner.
