IBA Sukkur inks partnership with ICAP


(Daily Regional Times (Pakistan) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Institute of Business Administration (Sukkur IBA) recently signed partnership collaboration with The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan (ICAP).

The alliance was signed by Nisar Ahmed Siddiqui, Dean and Director Sukkur IBA, and Naeem Akhtar Sheikh, the then President ICAP at the ICAP Head Office, Clifton Karachi.

As a result of this collaboration, the graduates of BS (Accounting & Finance) from Sukkur IBA will have an opportunity to become Chartered Accountant with an exemption from eight (8) papers of CA curriculum.

The then President ICAP, Naeem Akhtar Sheikh while expressing his views stated that Institute is striving for quality intake of students into the folds of the CA profession. This collaboration is a remarkable alliance between a top ranking business school, IBA Sukkur, and the leading accounting body of the nation, CA Pakistan to strengthen the brand of both the partnering institutions and fulfilment of ICAP vision of recruiting quality graduates with university exposure and sound academic background.



Khalid Rahman Chief Operating Officer ICAP speaking on the occasion said "We see this collaboration as a major step forward in education innovation and as an endeavour to offer dynamic routes of achievement to our brilliant youth. It will serve not only to fill an important need of our students, but of finance and accounting education in Pakistan, which will ultimately be a contribution to the industry and the economy.

Nisar Ahmed Siddiqui, Director Sukkur IBA speaking on the occasion said that Sukkur IBA is determined to become the centre of excellence for achieving the goal of betterment of Sindh and prosperity of Pakistan as a whole and through this collaboration, it can provide opportunity to a talented chunk of the students in rural areas by giving them a novel option of pursuing chartered accountancy as a career.


Signing ceremony was attended by representatives of Sukkur IBA and ICAP Council Members and staff of ICAP.
