WICT Announces Tech Leader, Cisco's Yvette Kanouff, to Keynote Tech It Out Conference


WASHINGTON --(Business Wire)--

Women in Cable Telecommunications today announced that Yvette Kanouff, Senior Vice President and General Manager, Service Provider Video Software & Solutions Group, Cisco (News - Alert) will deliver the opening keynote address at the organization's Tech It Out Conference on September 23, 2014 in Denver. Kanouff was the 1997 Women in Technology Award honoree.

The program will also feature Sherita Ceasar, Vice President of National Video Deployment Engineering for Comcast (News - Alert) Communications. Recently named the 2014 Women in Technology Award honoree, Ceasar will take part in a panel discussion to be moderated by Veronica Sheehan, Senior Vice President of Global Network, Technology & Studio Operations, Turner Broadcasting (News - Alert) System, Inc. Additional panelists will include Vickie Fiala, GVP, Business Operations & Planning, Time Warner Cable; Tammy Franklin, EVP, Digital, Scripps Networks Interactive; and Maria Popo, President & Chief Business Officer, Ubee Interactive, Inc. As previously announced, Robert (Bob) J. Stanzione, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, ARRIS Group Inc., will conclude the conference with a keynote address.

The 2014 Tech It Out Conference will be held inside of SCTE's Cable-Tec Expo in Denver, CO, with NAMIC, SCTE, and the Walter Katz Foundation serving as partners. The sessions and hours allow time for in-depth leadership development and a guided group tour of select SCTE exhibits.



Yvette Kanouff is Senior Vice President and General Manager of Cisco's Service Provider Video Software and Solutions Group. In this role, she directs the strategy and development of Cisco's video software portfolio, which spans content security and encoding and streaming, including Videoscape offerings, conditional access, and services and delivery. Kanouff manages a global team of engineers, architects, product line managers, technical marketing engineers, and business development managers. Kanouff received the National Cable and Television Association's 2014 Vanguard Award for Leadership in Science and Technology. She won an Emmy for her work on video-on-demand with SeaChange and holds several patents on VOD-related digital technologies. Broadcasting & Cable has named her one of the 11 most influential women in the television industry. Cablefax included her numerous times on its Top 100 Women list, named her the industry's "Top Techie" for 2011, and included her in its Cablefax's "Digital Hot List" for 2012. Other accolades include the 2001 Multichannel News Wonder Woman award and the Woman in Technology award from SCTE, WICT and Cablefax.
