MELVILLE, N.Y. --(Business Wire)--

Once again, bringing the five senses to life for attendess, this interactive gallery tour features images created by celebrity hosts and local photographers, all printed on the PIXMA PRO family of professional photo inkjet printers. Inspired by their hometown pride and love of photography, actor Donnie Wahlberg (CBS's Blue Bloods), actor Michael B. Jordan (NBC's Friday Night Lights), and actor Joel McHale (E!'s The Soup & Yahoo!'s (News - Alert) Community) will each host a gallery exhibit in Boston, Austin and Seattle, respectively, to showcase the power of printed images.

To create these exhibits, the celebrity hosts and local photographers were tasked with bringing themes from each of their iconic cities to life through photographic prints that will be displayed in each gallery. The exhibits will use the sensory triggers of touch, taste, smell and sound to bring inspiration to the viewers moments before revealing the associated full-bleed 13x19-inch printed images that were all produced using Canon PIXMA PRO Printers.

"We are thrilled to bring this next installment of the PIXMA PRO City Senses gallery tour to Boston, Austin and Seattle," said Yuichi Ishizuka, President and COO, Canon U.S.A., Inc. "Canon's line of PIXMA PRO printers provide photographers with the tools they need to beautifully display their photographic artwork and showcase what inspires them in precise detail. The PIXMA PRO City Senses gallery series was created to highlight how very powerful a printed image can be - how it can evoke emotions and enable the sharing of meanginful experiences."

The PIXMA PRO City Senses gallery tour will be a two-night event, kicking off in Boston on September 17th and 18th, Austin on October 1st and 2nd, and concluding in Seattle on October 16th and 17th. The first night in each city will be an invite-only event hosted by the respective celebrity and ocal photographers, where the second night will be open to the public allowing consumers to explore the printed images. Check local calendar listings for event information.

Each exhibit will lead guests through four interactive sensory gallery spaces before reaching the main photo gallery. In all of the sensory rooms, guests will first be introduced to a sensory trigger such as the smell of clam chowder, and then immersed in a series of photographs inspired by that sense. In Boston, Donnie Wahlberg and local photographers, Josh Andrus and Scott Nobles, will bring Iconic Boston to life; the Austin team of Michael B. Jordan and local photographers Sarah Lim and Ben Sklar will bring the city's passion for Live Music to life; the Seattle team of Joel McHale and local photographers Coco Aramaki, Nick Hall and Patrick Bennett will bring the pastime of football to life.

In each of the main galleries, there will be a printer demo station on-site where attendees can interact with the Canon PIXMA PRO-1, PRO-10 and PRO-100 Printers to see exactly how they are able to maintain every nuance and color with the utmost accuracy and precision.

"Growing up in the business working closely with legendary photographers, I've always embraced the art of photography," said Donnie Wahlberg, Boston gallery host. "This project has given me the opportunity to express my passion for my hometown of Boston and has truly shown me the power of the printed image in a world where everything lives digitally."

"I am an avid photographer, and it was fascinating to see the input to output of these images," said Michael B. Jordan, Austin gallery host. "I loved living and filming here. Austin is like my second home, and to be able to come back to be a part of this project is an incredible opportunity."

"I'm very excited to work with Canon," said Joel McHale Seattle gallery host. "Their cameras and printers are so good they can actually make some of my colossal photography blunders look good."
