New LG Phone Unveiled in Kenyan Market

(AllAfrica Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) The Kenya mobile phone market yesterday witnessed the launch of the new LG G3 smart phone, with the promise of better quality selfies.

Retailing at Sh59,999 the G3 series has the selfie function which can record gesture shots, where a user can take their photo while in action. Taking the photo does not require one to click any button, as the phone automatically detects the action and takes the photo.

"Its aim is to make life simple through everyday reminders such as whether to carry your umbrella in case it will be raining later in the day," said Moses Murji, the LG East Africa marketing manager.

Other gadget features include a removable battery, expandable micro SD slot, metallic frame, finger-print proof metallic skin and a wireless charging options, features that were not in the earlier G2 model.

"We hope to sell at least a million gadgets of this model before something else comes up," said Murji during the launch in Nairobi.
