Minister Blaney Engages Parents in Online Talk About Raising Cyber Safe Kids(Marketwire (Canada) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - Sept. 15, 2014) - Public Safety Canada The Honourable Steven Blaney, Minister of Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness, invites parents to join in two online conversations, called #CyberTalk, on parenting in a digital age of cyber-bullying and cyber attacks. On September 17 and 24, parents from across the country will have the opportunity to engage with leaders in the fields of cyber security, online safety, and parenting. Topics will range from dealing with cyberbullying to setting boundaries and keeping children safe on social media. Moderated by Amber MacArthur and Bruno Guglielminetti, with a panel including a parenting resource and representatives from Facebook and Kids Help Phone, the sessions will take place at 1 pm (EDT) on Wednesday, September 17, 2014 (English) and September 24, 2014 (French).
