Telecom Italia looks to develop new M2M platform [TeleGeography CommsUpdate](TeleGeography CommsUpdate Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Telecom Italia's (TI's) Digital Solutions unit has established partnerships with Ericsson and Jasper Technologies to develop a new machine-to-machine (M2M) platform for domestic and international business customers. Under the agreements, the telco says it will be able to offer its customers real-time visibility and control of M2M services, as well as capabilities such as mobile service management, real-time support diagnostics, billing and business automation. Luigi Zabatta, Executive Director for M2M & Internet of Things (IoT) Services at TI Digital Solutions, says that the firm is seeing 'huge thirst among the enterprise community to join the IoT movement and to scale their deployments at will'.
