Yamaha Financial Advantage Seminar Gives Dealers Keen Insights Into Running Their Businesses

(PR Web Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Buena Park, Calif. (PRWEB) September 12, 2014 Yamaha dealers turned out in record numbers to attend Yamaha's popular Financial Advantage program, a free two-day workshop that helps authorized Keyboard, Band & Orchestral and Pro Audio & Combo dealers tune up their financial performance.

More than sixty dealers attended the two-day complimentary workshop in Las Vegas, led by music industry veteran Alan Friedman, CPA, a partner in the Connecticut-based firm Friedman, Kannenberg & Co. The intensive program used case studies and role-playing to give dealers hands-on experience to help improve cash flow and master inventory management, balance sheets, the rental market and business valuation.

"This is the best turnout we have ever had," said Roger Eaton, director of marketing, Band & Orchestral Division, Yamaha Corporation of America. "Along with the unanimously positive feedback, these are sure signs that we are meeting the needs of our valued dealer network." All the dealers who attended praised the program. "This was a very insightful and informative experience," said David George of Atlas Music in Webster, New York. "I will probably start implementing a number of ideas immediately." Ralph O'Neill at O'Neill's Music in Baton Rouge called it "very helpful – a lot to digest, but this begins a journey to better run my business." According to Sally Macmillan at the Music Connection in Chico, Calif., "I felt like Alan was talking directly into my situation" and Jason Sparks at Miles Ahead Music in Louisville, Kentucky, referred to the experience as "a total summation" of an MBA program in two days.
