United States : MICROSEMI to acquire CENTELLAX [TendersInfo (India)](TendersInfo (India) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Microsemi Corp has inked a deal to acquire Centellax, a Santa Rosa, Calif.-based provider of high-speed analog and RF semiconductor products for the optical communications and Ethernet datacom markets. Centellax makes innovative next-generation products especially designed for super fast communications markets, with enhanced levels of integration allowing improved performance and more cost effective products. With the acquired product lines and technology, Microsemi will expand its current communications product portfolio. The deal will enable the company to leverage Centellax's optical and Ethernet datacenter capabilities to the benefit of Microsemi customers. The terms of the deal were not revealed. The completion of the deal is subject to customary closing conditions. Microsemi's chairman and CEO, James J. Peterson, said : "The high-speed design and packaging capabilities of Centellax are at the very edge.
