Competitive Carriers Association Announces Annual Achievement Award Winners at Annual Convention(Targeted News Service Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) LAS VEGAS, Sept. 9 -- The Competitive Carriers Association issued the following news release: Competitive Carriers Association (CCA) today announced the winners of its 2014 Annual Achievement Awards at their Annual Convention. Each year, CCA recognizes members' outstanding contributions to the industry or community in four categories: Outstanding Achievement Award, Outstanding Service Award, Neko Hamlett Associate Member of the Year and Industry Innovation Award. CCA Achievement Award winners were announced by Steven K. Berry, president and CEO of CCA, during the keynote session and included: Outstanding Achievement Award: * Kathleen Ham, T-Mobile US - for her work in support of spectrum auction rules that will benefit smaller carriers and help promote competition in the wireless industry. * Corrina Hudsonpillar, Nex-Tech Wireless - for her extraordinary support for CCA and in particular, strategic support for planning and organizing CCA events. Outstanding Service Award: * Carrier Member: Lucas Caruso, Pine Telephone - for his community outreach in support of charity organizations including Cancer Society, Hospice Foundation and MDA. * Associate Member: Syniverse - for their involvement with local and national charities and encouragement of employees to stay involved through community service, material contributions or monetary donations. Neko Hamlett Associate Member of the Year: * Damian Sazama, Interop Technologies - a true supporter and contributor to CCA including service on the Board of Directors for the associate members, CCA's trade show events and his positive attitude and willingness to devote time and energy to the association. Industry Innovation Award: * Carrier Member: Bobby McAvoy, nTelos Wireless - who embarked on a partnership with DISH networks to provide a fixed mobile broadband service for rural consumers who had poor or non-existent service. * Associate Member: Mosaik Solutions - recognized for their cloud-based service MapELEMENTS, which delivers telecom business intelligence to industry analysts, marketers and executives. "Over the past year CCA members have made many extraordinary contributions to our industry," said Berry.
