Eltel appoints Country Manager UK(Cision Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Eltel Group has appointed David Green as the new Managing Director Eltel Networks UK Limited. The appointment is aimed at strengthening Eltel’s market presence in the British Infranet services market. Eltel Group entered the UK power transmission market in 2012 when it signed an agreement to build power transmission overhead lines for National Grid in a joint venture with Carillion plc. The Group has now decided to further develop its market presence by appointing David Green to lead the effort. David Green joins Eltel from Arqiva where he has held the post of Business Development Director, Smart Metering, and Director Public Safety. Prior to this he spent five years in Australia as the Managing Director of Digital Distribution Australia and Business Manager of ntl UK (today Virgin Media). Green holds an HND in Electronic Engineering from Southampton Institute and an MBA from London Business School. David Green has a vast experience in a variety of communications businesses and more lately in the British power sector.
