Truven Health Analytics Achieves Two EHNAC Accreditations

ANN ARBOR, Mich. --(Business Wire)--

Truven Health Analytics™ today announced that the Truven Health Unify™ Data Management Platform has received two full accreditations from the Electronic Healthcare Network Accreditation Commission (EHNAC).

The certifications include the Outsourced Services Accreditation Program (OSAP) for Health Information Exchanges (HIE), which ensures adherence to health data interoperability, security and data integrity requirements, and the Direct Trusted Agent Accreditation Program (DTAAP), which is offered by EHNAC in partnership with DirectTrust.org and ensures adherence to Direct messaging certificate management (Certificate Authority), identity proofing (Registration Authority) and email message processing (Health Information Service Provider).

The Unify Data Management Platform is part of the Truven Health Unify solution, a cloud-based platform that is interoperable with all major healthcare analytics systems, clinical health information systems, and health information exchanges. The Unify Data Management Platform utilizes Truven Health's best-in-class healthcare data integration, interoperability, analytics and decision-support capabilities. Truven Health Unify enables health plans, accountable care organizations, hospitals and health systems, and regional health information exchanges to better manage population risk, network management, clinical outcomes, population health management and patient population messaging and engagement.

"In an industry where trust and security are paramount, EHNAC accreditation is a clear signal to customers that they can have confidence that their information is in safe and secure hands," said August Calhoun, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Provider Solutions at Truven Health Analytics. "Achievement of full accreditation is recognition of Truven Health's dedication to excellence in technical performance and compliance with privacy, security, and confidentiality regulations, and we're proud to offer that stability to our customers."

Through the consultative review process, EHNAC evaluated the Unify Data Management Platform in areas of privacy, security and confidentiality; technical performance; business practices; and organizational resources as it relates to directed exchange participants. In addition, EHNAC reviewed the organization's process of managing and transferring protected health information and determined that the organization meets or exceeds all EHNAC criteria and industry standards. Through completion of the rigorous accreditation process, the organization demonstrates to its constituents, adherence to strict standards and participation in the comprehensive, objective evaluation of its business.

"Endorsed by the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC), the Direct Trusted Agent Accreditation Program ensures that organizations like Truven Health Analytics establish and uphold a superior level of trust for their stakeholders," said Lee Barrett, executive director of EHNAC. "The need in the marketplace for guidance and accountability in health information exchange is undeniable, and we applaud Truven Health's commitment to the highest standards in privacy, security and confidentiality."
