ZTE plans to launch 5G network [UzDaily (Uzbekistan)]


(UzDaily (Uzbekistan) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Currently, the apogee of the mobile communication is 4th generation network, which allows exchange of data at the speed of 150 Mbps and above.

5G network will open completely new dimensions and data transmission capabilities. And ZTE will test this "fiction" in the near future on real hardware.

In 2015, ZTE will have the first prototype of 5G network equipment. ZTE plans to coordinate its actions with other producers and mobile operators along with testing 5G equipment to form general 5G standards.

According to HIS analysts, ZTE is among Top-3 of LTE equipment vendors and controls 17.9% sales in the world.

Chiina Mobile placed 26% of its orders on supply of equipment within its project on construction of 4G network. Share of vendor in China Telecom's similar project makes up 40%. Besides, ZTE won several regional tenders. Cooperation of ZTE with VimpelCom, KPN, Telenor and others helped to development of Chinese vendor in global market.



In TD-LTE communication segment, ZTE is one of key players in the global market. ZTE supplied TD-LTE equipment to 66 operators in 40 countries within pilot and commercial projects. As o f the end of 2013, ZTE received about 150 contracts on supply of LTE devices.

Analysts of Strategy Analytics said that number of users, using LTE mobile communication, reached 238 million in 2013. According to forecast, the figure will exceed 2 billion in 2018.


4G/LTE system is based on 3GPP standards for Long-Term Evolution (LTE) technology and System Architecture Evolution (SAE). Current commercial projects offer 4G mobile broadband speeds between 20-80 Mbps with a maximum speed of about 100 Mbps.

ZTE has rich experience of work with financial institutes of such countries as China, Great Britain, Singapore and others.

ZTE cooperates with leading Chinese banks such as State Development Bank of China, Eximbank of China, ICBC, DBS, HSBC, DB, SMBC and others.
