AIOU sets-up points for sale of admission forms at its countrywide campuses(Daily Patriot (Pakistan) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) has set-up points for sale of admission forms at its main campus in Islamabad and at its 44-Regional Campuses and 122-Coordinating Offices across the country in order to facilitate the students at their door-steps. The admission forms of Matric to Master level programs can be submitted along-with prescribed fee in countrywide branches of Bank Al-Falah, Habib Bank Ltd, First Women Bank and Allied Bank and at the nominated branches of National Bank of Pakistan and Muslim Commercial Bank, said a news release issued here on Thursday. The detail of designated branches is available in the prospectuses as well as in the Regional Offices. Last date for submission of the admission form is September 5. According to Director Admissions, Ph.D, MS/M.Phil, M.Sc (Statistics), COL (MBA/MPA) and LLM/MS Shari’ah have been offered on merit basis, all those interested for admissions in these programs should send their admission form directly to their concerned departments without admission fee according to the procedures laid down in the prospectus. From the current semester Autumn, 2014, there will be no requirement of NTS-GAT (General/Subject) for admission in Ph.D and MS/M.Phil programs, however entry test will be conducted by the concerned department, he added. According to Director Admissions, Continuing admission forms have already been dispatched to all the continuing students, however, if somehow any of student has not received the said admission form, he/she can download the same from the AIOU website www.aiou.edu.pk <http://www.aiou.edu.pk> and deposit in any designated bank branch with fee till due date to avoid late fee charges. The admissions of Ph.D is being offered in Islamic Studies (Gen), Islamic Studies (Quran and Tafseer), Chemistry, Iqbal Studies, Pakistani Languages and Literature, Shari’ah, Urdu and Mass Commission while the admissions of MS/M.Phil is being offered in Islamic Studies, Quran and Tafseer, Arabic, LLM Shari’ah/MS Shari/ah, Chemistry, Community Health and Nutrition, Iqbal Studies and Mass Communication. M.Sc is offering in Economics, Pakistan Studies, Statistics, Gender and Women Studies, M.Com (Accounting and Finance, 2 years programme). The admissions of MBA is being offered in Specializations of HRM, Marketing, IT and Banking & Finance. MBA in Rural Management and Col MBA/MPA has also be offered. MA in Arabic, Islamic Studies and Urdu, Post Graduate Diploma in Gender and Women Studies and HRM have been offered. In Bachelor’s programs, BS (Computer Science), Mass Communication, B.Com, BLIS, Dars-e-Nizami while Associate Degree are being offered in Tourism Management, Hotel Management, Hospital Management, Accounting and Finance, Banking and Finance, Human Resource Management, IT Management and Marketing Management. FA (Gen), FA (Dars-e-Nizami) and I.Com, SSC and the admissions of PTC, B.Ed (Gen) and B.Ed (Arabic) are also been included.
