This new update provides physical to virtual conversion directly into the free version of VMware ESXi datastore, new off-site replication targets, remote consolidation, and off-site consolidation. Additional replication target options for off-site cloud services includes replication to Amazon S3 cloud storage services and Secure FTP to guarantee availability, security, and protection. ActiveImage Protector IT Pro Edition now supports full physical to virtual operations, and incremental backup image management of both current for legacy image file formats. Direct, real-time conversion to the free VMware ESXi datastore eliminates the lengthy VMDK conversion process that was previously necessary prior to uploading to the ESXi host. This saves substantial time when P2V conversion is integral to your disaster recovery plan. Remote Consolidation initiates the consolidation of incremental backups on remote machines promoting effective administration, and distribution of both workload and storage requirements. Off-site Consolidation free up system resources on local machines by avoiding local resource demands and initiating the postreplication off-site consolidation of incremental backups.
