United States : GIGAMON partners with VMWARE [TendersInfo (India)](TendersInfo (India) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) An active visibility solutions major with the innovative Unified Visibility Fabric , Gigamon® has entered a partnership with VMware to extend the former's visibility and monitoring solutions to support the software-defined data centre. The two companies will work together to allow mutual customers to maximise former investments in network, application and security monitoring tools as they virtualise their networks with the VMware NSX network virtualisation platform. Chief Strategy Officer at Gigamon, Shehzad Merchant, said : "As our customers look to take advantage of VMware NSX , we are working with VMware to enable customers to leverage the same enterprise-class tools they are accustomed to using across both the virtual and physical network. Gigamon has supported interoperability with VMware vCentre Server since 2013 for automated monitoring policy management enabling active visibility into virtualised workloads. This collaboration will expand on current interoperability efforts to develop additional features to support VMware NSX. Gigamon and VMware networking solutions in the software-defined data centre will combine the agility, simplified operations and security improvements of VMware NSX with Gigamon s industry-leading active visibility for monitoring and troubleshooting solutions."
