3BlackDot Taps Marwan Abderrazzaq to Lead Game Development [Professional Services Close - Up]


(Professional Services Close - Up Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) 3BlackDot (3BD) has reported the appointment of seasoned video games industry executive and former Machinima Director, Marwan Abderrazzaq, to oversee game development for the company.



In its release, 3BD said that building on the success of the Company's first influencer-driven property, Zombie Killer Squad, Abderrazzaq will be responsible for introducing new gaming IP into the marketplace.

"Marwan's depth of experience with major gaming franchises, multiple platforms and all facets of production in the gaming space is unmatched," said Angelo Pullen, co-founder, 3BD. "As part of the management team, he will be a driving force behind our core operating principle to deliver compelling influencer-driven content with the highest level of audience engagement." Prior to his newly appointed position at 3BlackDot, Abderrazzaq served as Senior Director of Franchise at Machinima, demonstrating success in building and maintaining a variety of cross-platform entertainment franchises. He oversaw initiatives with studio partners including Warner Bros. and Microsoft to launch premium content on the Machinima Network including Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn, Mortal Kombat: Legacy II and Street Fighter: Assassins Fist.


Abderrazzaq joins 3BlackDot with a 18-year track record in video game development and production, having served as a primary producer with major publishers and developers including Electronic Arts (Motor City Online), Collective Studios (Silent Hill: Homecoming), Activision (Call of Duty: Black Ops, Call of Duty: World at War, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen) and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment (Fear 3).
