CSC Unveils Next Generation Agility Platform 9.2 [Health & Beauty Close - Up]

(Health & Beauty Close - Up Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) CSC has released the next generation of the Company's Agility Platform 9.2 with new capabilities that make it easier for clients to manage large cloud service portfolios, order customizable hybrid cloud services, and extend a self-service IT delivery model to more end users across the enterprise.

In its release, CSC said that its Agility Platform enables organizations to realize the benefits of a cloud-based IT operating model with multi-cloud management capabilities, extensible policy- based governance and security controls, and application release automation to support DevOps initiatives. By accelerating hybrid cloud adoption, Agility Platform makes it possible for global enterprises to increase agility, control IT costs, comply with governance and security requirements, and avoid the pitfalls of cloud vendor lock-in.

"Central IT must provide timely self-service access to platforms and applications to satisfy growing demand from software development teams and business unit customers, or risk being circumvented and subject to Shadow IT," said Eric Pulier, vice president and general manager of CSC's Cloud business unit. "By embracing a hybrid cloud model with the Agility Platform, central IT can provide a secure and compliant portfolio of self-service, on demand cloud services to satisfy end-user demand. It is a widespread enterprise mandate to deliver governed, secure and convenient IT-as-a-Service to the business while preserving cloud choice and vendor contestability in the future." "Hybrid cloud initiatives are increasingly important to IT executives as they seek to improve the pace of innovation and accelerate time to market for new applications and services," said William Fellows, vice president, 451 Research. "These IT organizations want cloud management platforms that can minimize the complexity of deploying applications and platforms across hybrid clouds, and provide a flexible range of governance and security controls to fully automate deployments and select the best cloud execution venue for a given workload."
