Tanzania : BHARTI AIRTEL announces the roll out of its cross-network money transfer service in TANZANIA with TIGO [TendersInfo (India)]


(TendersInfo (India) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Bharti Airtel has made a statement on its recent introduction of a cross-network money transfer service in Tanzania.

India-based giant telecom operator has revealed that it has launched the new service in the Tanzanian market in partnership with the mobile services provider Tigo so that the customers can avail mobile money transfer services involving the networks of the two companies.



With the roll out of this facility, subscribers of both Airtel Tanzania and Tigo will be able to carry out money transfers in a secured and convenient way involving the mobile money wallets of the operators. As there will be no off-net charges, this service will deliver cost-effective cash withdrawal opportunity to the users.

In a recent development, Bharti Airtel has forged partnership with financial services provider BGFIBank Group for the expansion of mobile money usage to the latter's customers across four nations in Africa.
