Novaerus Launches Customer Advisory Board of Top Continuing Care Industry Leaders

CHICAGO --(Business Wire)--

Novaerus, a company that improves the business and quality of healthcare through the application of airborne pathogen control technology, launched its first Customer Advisory Board (CAB). The Board is comprised of industry leaders and customers in skilled nursing facilities (SNF) and assisted living facilities (ALF), who met on August 21-22 to discuss insights into market needs and provide guidance to the company as it expands its operations throughout North America. The Board is comprised of eight industry leaders that represent a variety of skilled nursing facilities including members from multi-state regional chains, national chains and independent owners. The Board expects to meet twice a year and discuss the trends in skilled nursing and help inform the Novaerus growth strategy.

The Board is chaired by Michael Wylie, Vice President of Business Development for Genesis, a large national chain of skilled nursing facilities with more than 400 centers across 28 states. "The needs of today's SNFs are evolving with the influx of the growing Baby Boomer population, the alarming spread of antibiotic-resistant infections and the growing pressure to reduc resident hospital readmissions. Teaming closely with business partners like Novaerus gives us and other long-term care leaders the opportunity to have a voice and exchange views on how the industry can collaborate to address these complex challenges."

Key issues, ideas and insights from the inaugural Novaerus CAB meeting included:*

  • Teaming with health systems and hospitals to lower patient readmissions
  • Comprehensive approaches to closing the loop on infection control
  • Environmental considerations for enhancing resident care and quality of life
  • Competitive marketing strategies to protect and drive census
  • Building a business case for using technology to control airborne infections

"As continuing care facilities work to adopt technology to complement the traditional steps taken to control infections, we felt that now was a great opportunity to establish the CAB. Based on the success of our first meeting, these respected experts will help Novaerus to chart the future by continuing to enhance the value we provide with our solution and shaping how we can accelerate our growth. By understanding the realities of our customers' business environments, we can better attune our vision towards serving their needs," said John Grondin, Executive Vice President of Sales for Novaerus.
