AMD Radeon R9 285 GPU announced for AED 915 [T-break Tech (Middle East)]


(T-break Tech (Middle East) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) During their "30 years of gaming and graphics" event, AMD officially announced its latest GPU – the Radeon R9 285 GPU based on the Tonga graphics architecture. AMD claims that the R9 285 is faster than Nvidia's GTX 760 and is designed to play PC games at maximum detail better than any in its class.



The AMD Radeon R9 285 graphics card comes packed with the latest Graphics Core Next 1.1 (GCN 1.1) architecture, including mixed screen resolution and orientation for AMD Eyefinity technology. Moreover, the card supports the latest DirectX 12 and AMD's Mantle API to provide impressive frame rates for all demanding games and required a lower 190-watt PCI Express 3.0 lane.

  Getting to the GPU, its manufactured using a 28nm process and features 1792 stream processors. The GPU clocks up to 918Mhz with a compute performance of 3.29 TeraFlops. For RAM, AMD is using 2GB 2GB GDDR5 with a memory interface of 256bit and 5.5Gbps speed. The Radeon R9 285 GPU will be available on September 2 nd, 2014 to $249 (approx. 915 AED).
