Saint Francis Healthcare proudly announces the addition of Celeste E. DeBaptiste, M.D., an OB/GYN physician. "Dr. DeBaptiste's employment is another indicator of Saint Francis Healthcare's commitment to ensuring Delawareans continue to have access to top quality women's health services in a caring, compassionate environment," said Brian E. Dietz, FACHE, president and chief executive officer.

Dr. DeBaptiste joins Dr. James Cosgrove, Dr. Nancy Petit, and Dr. Richard Leader of the North Wilmington Women's Center, one of five Saint Francis Healthcare women's health practices.

"I am proud to be joining a team of such highly skilled caregivers. Together we are expanding and enhancing our capabilities at Saint Francis. For example, by growing the physician staff, we are able to expand our availability for our patients," said Dr. DeBaptiste.

Dr. DeBaptiste was most recently in private practice in West Chester, PA. Her previous experience includes serving at Jefferson Health System/Mainline Health and MedPartners Women's Health. In addition, she was in private practice with Woman to Woman OB/GYN in Norfolk, VA.

Dr. DeBaptiste completed her internship and residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Reading Hospital and Medical Centerin Reading, PA. She earned her Doctor of Medicine at Temple University School of Medicine and B.A. of Natural Sciences from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD.



She is board certified with the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and a member of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Prior to joining Saint Francis Healthcare, she served as chairperson of the Department of OB/GYN at Chester County Hospital.
