Abengoa consolidates its smart card system in Campus Palmas Altas

(ENP Newswire Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) ENP Newswire - 21 August 2014 Release date- 20082014 - Abengoa (MCE: ABG.B/P SM /NASDAQ: ABGB), an international company that applies innovative technology solutions for sustainability in the energy and environment sectors, has developed a smart card system in its headquarters in Palmas Altas Campus, located in Seville, through which you can access all services and facilities centrally.

The Palmas Altas Campus cards combine two technologies: magnetic stripe and proximity chip 4K Mifare, allowing an optimum utilization of the services of Campus Palmas Altas.

Among others, the Palmas Altas Campus card enables access to all facilities at headquarters, for example, to the meeting rooms on the ground floor of all buildings, training rooms, fitness center, medical services, or the building in which the workplace itself is located.

Also, it facilitates the use of any multifunction devices for printing, copying, scanning and faxing and can perform any of these actions on any computer on campus; it allows direct payment in any of the restaurants in the headquarters and serves as a cash card for vending machines located inside the buildings.

Similarly, as it centralizes all services in a single device, this system of smart cards for Campus Palmas Altas has allowed a significant energy reduction associated with a decreased use of paper and the number of prints.

Campus Palmas Altas is the first business park devoted to innovation in Andalusia and the largest business technology center of private initiative in southern Spain. The center concentrates all the activity performed by Abengoa in Seville on the most advanced technologies, environmental excellence and sustainable development.
