SMARTPHONE GROWTH SLIPS(Indian Business Insight Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) The research firm IDC has said that India has registered lower growth in smartphone sales at 84 percent year-on-year in Apr-Jun 2014 as compared to triple digit growth during Jan-Mar 2014. According to IDC, the smartphone shipments grew by 84 percent to 18.42 million units in Apr-Jun 2014 from 10.02 million units in Apr-Jun 2013. The sales had grown by 186 percent to 17.59 million units in Jan-Mar 2014 over Jan-Mar 2013. |
