Committee for Purchase from People Who are Blind or Severely Disabled Adds Michigan, Virginia, and Wisconsin Companies in Procurement List(Targeted News Service Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) by JUDE BAUTISTA Targeted News Service WASHINGTON, Aug. 15 -- Three companies in three states have been approved to supply the federal government with products and services provided by the blind or individuals who have severe disabilities, the Committee for Purchase from People Who are Blind or Severely Disabled announced. MICHIGAN: Peckham Vocational Industries Inc., Lansing, Michigan, has been approved to provide information technology desk support services by the U.S. Forest Service, Albuquerque, New Mexico. VIRGINIA: Goodwill Services Inc., Richmond, Virginia, has approved to provide warehouse and supply support service by the U.S. Navy's SPAWAR Systems Center, North Charleston, South Carolina. WISCONSIN: Wiscraft Inc., Milwaukee, has been approved to handle nine products by the General Services Administration, Kansas City, Missouri. A notice published in the Federal Register on Aug. 15 also identified the following products and services deleted from the Procurement List: NEW YORK: New York City Industries for the Blind Inc., Brooklyn, New York, has been disapproved to handle four products by Defense Logistics Agency Land and Maritime, Columbus, Ohio. PENNSYLVANIA: North Central Sight Services Inc., Williamsport, Pennsylvania, has been disapproved to handle 10 products by the Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support, Philadelphia.
