Omantel board okays 40% dividend [Times of Oman](Times of Oman Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Muscat: The board of directors of Oman Telecommunications Company (Omantel) has approved to distribute an interim dividend of 40 per cent to the shareholders. The board also approved the company's financial results for the period ended June 2014 that showed an increase in the net profit by 9 per cent to OMR66 million. The decision was taken at the company's board meeting Wednesday. The interim distribution of 40 per cent from the paid capital will be paid to Omantel registered shareholders by the end of trading hours of August 31, 2014.
