Canvas Integrates Mobile Business App Service with Dropbox, Box, Google Drive and Evernote

(PR Web Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) (PRWEB) August 11, 2014 Canvas, the global leader in mobile apps for businesses, today announced integration of its cloud-based software service with Dropbox, Box, Evernote and Google Drive, enabling business users to have data collected with Canvas mobile apps automatically transmitted to their preferred cloud storage service.

Canvas is a cloud-based software service that empowers business users to collect information using mobile devices, share that information, and integrate with existing backend business systems. Thousands of organizations – ranging from global corporations to small nonprofits – leverage Canvas to replace inefficient paper forms with highly customizable mobile business apps that work on nearly every smartphone and tablet on the market.

In a 2014 Canvas survey of more than 1,100 business decision makers, 63 percent of respondents see value integrating core business applications – such as Dropbox, Box, Evernote, Google Drive and Square – with mobile devices and tools. In fact, well more than half (57%) of businesses indicated they are using file storage applications, while nearly one-third (32%) use note taking software such as Evernote.

"The Canvas survey points to an increasingly mobile workforce that is looking to extend day-to-day business processes to their mobile devices," said James Quigley, co-founder and CEO, Canvas. "By integrating Canvas with industry-leading cloud storage and note taking applications, our customers now have unprecedented freedom and flexibility to not only collect data in real-time and share it throughout their organizations, but to also automate data storage with their cloud provider of choice." Users of Canvas' cloud-based service can set rules for each mobile app they create, so that, for example, a construction company that has replaced paper forms with a Canvas construction site inspection mobile app, can have data collected with that app automatically sent to their cloud storage service, whether it is Dropbox, Box, Google Drive or Evernote. The data will also continue to be simultaneously stored in the Canvas cloud.

In addition to its cloud-based service, Canvas also offers the first business-only application store of its kind, with 14,000+ pre-built, fully customizable apps that work on all mobile platforms and serve more than 30 vertical markets. Applications range from inspections, work orders and invoices to timesheets, surveys and expense reports.
