Inmarsat Sets up Beijing Office

Inmarsat is an inter-government organization and established in 1979; it provides security guarantee and communications service for maritime activities. China is one of 88 founding members of the organization. China is one of the largest markets for Inmarsat's voice and broadband services based on mobile satellites; Inmarsat has achieved a double-digit growth in China in the past five years.



Establishment of solely-owned unit is another step Inmarsat takes after completion of satellite access station in Beijing. The access station, owned and run by Beijing Marine Communication & Navigation, specializes in processing Inmarsat network's traffic from China and supply of Chinese market solutions.
