Cortina Systems and Oliver Solutions Preview DPOE Interoperability for 10G-EPON [Professional Services Close - Up](Professional Services Close - Up Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Cortina Systems reported participation with Oliver Solutions in the first chip-level interoperability of symmetric 10G-EPON devices based on DPoE specifications at CableLabs. According to a media release, together with Oliver Solutions' DPoE software stack, the Cortina CS8124 10G-EPON OLT and CS8160 10G- EPON ONU devices successfully demonstrated interoperability tests, including: -Multiple LLID -IPv6 based provisioning -Non-secure firmware upgrade -Customer VLAN and Service VLAN operations -IP HSD "CableLabs is proud to facilitate these interoperability events so companies like Cortina Systems can drive the implementation of this technology into the market. This enables MSOs to deploy PON- based services with existing DOCSIS provisioning backend and processes," commented Dr. Curtis Knittle, Director, CableLabs.
