Share Your Unique Ways of Using CyberLink PowerDVD to Win Prizes

CyberLink Corp. (5203.TW), the world's leading consumer multimedia software company, today kicked-off a new contest titled PowerDVD Showdown. Participants can show off innovative or unusual ways they use PowerDVD in their personal media setup, as well as offer suggestions for features they think are missing or would like to see in future versions of PowerDVD. First, second and third prizes will be awarded to winners in three categories-Grand Jury, Popularity, and Lucky Draw.

PowerDVD is the world's foremost media player, with over 100 million copies shipped annually. Resourceful and innovative usage scenarios that spring from such a broad consumer base are a valable resource for CyberLink developers. PowerDVD Showdown offers a chance for users worldwide to share their experience and expertise, and to help inspire future developments in media applications.

Entries showing creative uses of PowerDVD can be anything from an elaborate or themed home theater setup, to an unusual use of the software beyond typical media viewing. Suggestions for missing or futuristic features need not be conventional nor pay regard to technical feasibility. Submissions will be judged on creativity, relevance to the question, and fun factor.

People can view and vote for their favorite entries, with additional prizes awarded to the three submissions with the most votes received. All contestants, along with anyone who votes via Facebook (News - Alert) or e-mail, will also be eligible to win prizes awarded in a lucky draw.

PowerDVD Showdown Dates

The PowerDVD Showdown contest will accept submissions from August 5 through September 22, 2014, with winners being announced on October 1, 2014. There is no purchase necessary to enter-people who do not currently own a copy of PowerDVD can download a free trial version to participate. The contest is open to entrants worldwide.
