CFA Society San Francisco to Partner With UC Berkeley Extension on Claritas®

SAN FRANCISCO --(Business Wire)--

CFA Society San Francisco is partnering with UC Berkeley Extension to offer a new course designed to help students earn the new Claritas® Investment Certificate, offered through CFA Institute. The Institute created the Claritas Investment Certificate and exam to give anyone working in or entering the financial services industry a clearer understanding of the investment industry and the professional responsibilities within it. UC Berkeley Extension's Claritas Fundamentals course coers ethics and regulation, inputs and tools, investment instruments, industry structure and controls, and ways to serve client needs. Culminating in a mock exam, the course prepares students to sit for the Claritas exam.

"Increased confidence, improved communication and stronger knowledge of industry essentials are just a few of the benefits you'll gain with the Claritas Investment Certificate," says CFA Society San Francisco Executive Director Maren Amdal. "We are so pleased to partner with an organization of the prestige and respect of UC Berkeley Extension to bring this new program to the public."

"Whether you're in HR, marketing, sales, operations, IT or any other role that supports investment decision makers, Claritas enables employees to help their businesses provide superior service to clients," says UC Berkeley Extension Business, Technology and Engineering Director Paul Emery. "In fact, the solid overview you get in the Claritas Fundamentals course is beneficial for those working in any business setting."
