Kapsch and Albis Technologies boost connectivity for Algérie Télécom customers; Kapsch CarrierCom supplies interface converters from Albis Technologies


(M2 PressWIRE Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Vienna/Algiers - Kapsch CarrierCom together with Albis Technologies AG was awarded a contract by Algérie Télécom to supply interface converters for use as demarcation devices within the Algerian telecommunication network. Kapsch teamed with Swiss-based Albis Technologies to deliver a highly competitive solution to Algérie Télécom subscribers to help boost Ethernet and data services. The three year contract will consist of the delivery of several hundreds of units over the whole contract period. Albis Technologies will deliver the interface converters; local training and support will be provided by Kapsch CarrierCom Algeria.



Kapsch has been active in Algeria since 2010, providing Algeria's national railway operator SNTF (Société National des Transports Ferroviaires) with the digital train radio technology GSM-R. Albis Technologies' devices and Kapsch knowledge for a reliable connection Within the scope of the contract Albis Technologies will deliver the units which convert subscribers' Ethernet and Data interfaces to the TDM (Time Division Multiplexing) interface of Algérie Télécom's legacy transport network. The units will enable Algérie Télécom to deliver highly reliable end-to-end Ethernet and data services, utilizing the existing TDM based transmission network.
