API Technologies Introduces the New EMCON All-in-One Secure Workstation

(ENP Newswire Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) ENP Newswire - 04 August 2014 Release date- 01082014 - OTTAWA, Canada and ORLANDO, FL - API Technologies Corp. (NASDAQ:ATNY), a leading provider of high performance RF/microwave, power, and security solutions for critical and high-reliability applications, today announced the launch of the EMCON All-in-One Secure Workstation, which facilitates virtual, multi-domain access and presents it in a single user interface.

The all-in-one hardware solution enables users to easily and securely access resources on classified and unclassified networks without the need for inefficient and costly alternatives, such as redundant hardware and resource-hungry software solutions.

Each available system appears as a window within the user's native computing environment, so users may easily and securely toggle back and forth between networks.

'Users on privileged networks now have the ability to check unsecured email in one window, while accessing classified documents in another, which vastly simplifies the user experience, while still maintaining complete and secure separation of devices and networks,' said Henry Gold, general manager, Secure Systems & Information Assurance (SSIA) North America, API Technologies. 'The EMCON All-in-One solution eliminates the need for multiple computer stations or traditional KVM solutions, which add cost and make everyday tasks complicated for the user.' The solution is customizable with additional features including: removable media, network connectors, High Definition (HD) capabilities, terminal access, and integrated user authentication (PKI reader device). Taking up minimal desktop space, the discreet system is designed to seamlessly blend into the user's office environment.

The video switch responsible for network separation is Common Criteria EAL 4+ ALC_FLR.3 approved and complies with NIAP Peripheral Sharing Switch (PSS) for Human Interface Devices. The EMCON All-in-One Secure Workstation meets requirements of NSTISSAM TEMPEST/1-92, Level 1; CID09/15A, Level 1 and SDIP-27 Level A.
