Inspired by the chance to pass on memories [Evening Gazette (UK)]

(Evening Gazette (UK) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) EVERY day The Gazette features the very best of pictures sent to us from readers around Teesside. We're always so impressed with the quality of photos of our region's beautiful surroundings that we've decided to launch a regular Camera Club feature. We'll profile different photographers, find out a bit more about them and share a selection of their latest shots. To have your pictures featured visit www.gazettelive.co.uk/cameraclub Name: Graham Wilson Middlesbrough.

I`m an ordinary sort of bloke coming up 63. I am married with a five-year-old daughter at home. Between us we have six siblings. I was made redundant in December 2011. I was in the motor trade all my working life mainly in the HG V G field. I live in. Thorn V -tree Estate, Middlesbrough, and was brought up in the house we now live in.

These pictures have been taken while out and about with my wife and daughter and some when I`m out and about mentoring. I don`t have any preference of photograph to take and I don't have a big fancy camera mine is a little Fujifilm 16 megapixels dead simple to use as I don't do technology. My inspiration came a few years ago while watching a TV documentary about V an oldish Geordie guy. He was showing lots and lots of old photographs of Newcastle and the surrounding areas and how the same areas have changed and been developed. Then reading the Remember When magazine and my own memories of the old Middlesbrough from me being a lad to what they are now. All photographs have their own story from the floral displays to the industrial snaps of SSI, Tata Steel and ICI and the likes. Another inspiration came in the form of a mate of mine who joined a camera club but I never had the confidence. I think my real inspiration comes in the form of memories to pass on to the future generations. I take pictures of anything that catches my eye and I think they are nice snaps to take. I enjoy looking and learning from all the other photographers especially Tony Winward, sometimes I think we are following each other around!
