Sen. Brown Introduces Bill to Extend Application of Medicare Payment Rate Floor to Certain Primary Care Services

Sherrod Brown, D-Ohio, has introduced legislation (S. 2694) to "amend title XIX of the Social Security Act to extend the application of the Medicare payment rate floor to primary care services furnished under Medicaid and to apply the rate floor to additional providers of primary care services." The bill was introduced on July 30 and has three co-sponsors. Co-sponsors include Sens. Patty Murray, D-Wash., John D. Jay Rockefeller IV, D-W.Va., and Mary C. Landrieu, D-La.



The legislation was referred to the Senate Finance Committee.
